What a Joyous Time of Year!

I just love this time of year! There is just something about Christmas that brings me joy. I love giving gifts to others (and receiving them too!) I find joy in my children all year through but especially so during the holidays. Tonight we took them ice skating for the very first time and I found so much joy in just being with my family and having fun. All three of the men in my life bring much so much joy each day. I love to see the smiles on their faces when I wake up each morning. I am so happy that I have such a great family! My mother is (next to my husband) my very best friend. She is always supportive of me and she shows my boys so much love. She brings me joy and has since the day I was born. Thank God for mothers!

There are many other things that bring me joy such as…

…hearing my cat purring above my head each night

…listening to my husbands heart beating while he sleeps

…an ice cold diet Coke first thing every morning

…the warm, toasty fire in our fireplace

…that Jesus came to Earth to save me from an eternity in hell

…long talks with my stepmom

…chatting with my good friend Angie

…having food to eat and to feed my husband and children

…that my husband has a good stable job

…having a roof over my head

…my little dog Cassie Mae

…having this blog to share my life and thoughts with my wonderful readers

…Twitter is so much fun

…my Christmas tree all lit up and decorated so beautifully by my boys

…driving around seeing all the Christmas lights

There are so many more things that I could name that bring joy to my life. I could probably write a book on the subject. Life itself is so joyous most of the time. Yes I have bad days but I am so thankful that God gave me this life.
