Before moving to our current home, I had a Walgreens and that other three-letter pharmacy within about 2 miles of my house. Although the stores were across the street from one another, I preferred to shop at Walgreens. Walgreens seems to have the best sales and in my experience, the store employees have been more friendly.
When I visit Walgreens I always pick up the circular and look through it before I start my shopping. Often times I find great sale prices that are better than the local department store. Sometimes I will check out their website before my trip so that I can save time. From now on I plan on making it a point to visit Walgreens.com, because starting today they have a new digital circular!
I had the opportunity to take a sneak peek of this week’s digital circular and I noticed many great sales and awesome new features.
On the first page of the circular two sales stood out to me: Coke 12-packs on sale 3/$10 and Tide detergent on sale for $4.99.
The next thing that I noticed is that you can view the digital circular by category or through different page layouts. I chose to view the seasonal items category in this week’s circular.
This is a photo of a full-page spread in the digital circular.
Notice that you can share the circular via social media in the top right of the screen? You can also search the circular using the search box on the bottom left. I love those two features! On this page there is also some information about Walgreens Take Care Clinic. My local store doesn’t have a clinic but my mother’s local Walgreens does and she has visited their clinic more than once. I wish my Walgreens had a clinic!
Another nice thing about the new digital circular is that it features many bonus buys, hundreds of additional in-store offers and exclusive online pages. There is also the ability to create a shopping list online so you know exactly what to pick up once you’re in the store. The shopping list feature is great for folks in a time crunch, or for husbands like mine who need to know exactly what brand to pick up!
You can quickly jump to the bonus buys section (6 pages this week!) by clicking the button in the top left side of the circular.
There are also several featured bonus buys included in the circular, like this special price on Crest Whitestrips.
If you’re in need of some new makeup for spring Walgreens is having a great buy one get one 1/2 off sale on many name brands!
Walgreens has also revamped their print circulars to include some nice features. They have added a QR code that you can scan with your smartphone which allows you to view more deals right on your phone.
I noticed that they have Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 1 on DVD. Duracell batteries for $2.99 are a pretty good deal too!
If you would like to have the new Walgreens Digital Circular delivered to your inbox early on Fridays, you can sign up at www.walgreens.com/sneakpeek. You will receive a $5 coupon just for signing up!
Walgreens is really trying to make shopping their stores and finding the best deals easy for all of their customers. For people who use their smartphone for everything they have the Walgreens Refill by Scan app which enables pharmacy customers to order prescription refills simply by scanning a bar code. They also offer prescription text alerts which will let you know when you’re due for a refill or when your prescription is ready at the pharmacy.
Walgreens has everyone covered including people who don’t use a computer or smartphone. All of the sale items featured online will also be specially-marked in the stores.
I am really impressed with Walgreens efforts to reach out to all of us tech-savvy consumers. I already loved shopping at their stores and now I love them even more! Be sure to visit Walgreens online today and check out the new digital circular. You can also find Walgreens on Twitter and Facebook. The word is that they will be sending mobile coupons via Twitter and to customers who check in from Walgreens stores through platforms such as Foursquare!
