I do the majority of my shopping online but until a few weeks ago I had never visited Uncommon Goods. Uncommon Goods is a fun site where you can find just that – things that are uncommon and not found at other places.
Uncommon Goods is a company that cares about sustainability and our environment.
To us, sustainability means more than just being “green.” We believe sustainability starts with integrity in everything we do, treating each individual inside and outside our company with dignity and respect, offering health insurance to all our full-time (and most part-time) employees and providing a living wage.
They also strive to offer unique products that are fairly made.
We’re committed to offering you a creative and exciting merchandise assortment and are working with our suppliers – from artists to small manufacturers – to make their products in a more socially and environmentally responsible manner. Since our founding, we’ve featured products that contain recycled components and have not sold products containing leather, feathers or fur – our goal is to sell no product that harms humans or animals.
I spent a while browsing the site and decided to review the Gardener’s Seat and Urbano Eco Trash Can. I have a ton of weeds in my front flower beds that need pulled and I thought the pair would be a perfect choice for me.
The Gardener’s Seat is very sturdy and I love that it has pockets all the way around for storage. The seat holds me comfortably and is the perfect height to pull weeds and work in flower beds or a garden.
My 10 year old son can easily fold up the Gardener’s Seat and carry it around using the handles on the sides.
Priced at just $28 the Gardener’s Seat from Uncommon Goods is a great value. I love my new seat and I’ve never seen anything like it in the stores. As soon as the weather is right you can bet that I will be out in the flower bed!
The Urbano Eco Trash Can is another innovative product from Uncommon Goods. The trash can is made for the plastic bags you get at the store. You can slide a bunch of bags down to the bottom for storage and also use a bag at the same time. It’s ingenious!
I decided to use the Urbano Eco Trash Can to put the weeds I was pulling in and it works perfectly. At $18 you could pick up a couple to keep around your home. Such a great way to use those plastic store bags!
One lucky reader will win a $50 gift code to Uncommon Goods!
