Depending on when you had your last child, preparing for your next one can either be surprisingly demanding or satisfyingly easy. If there’s only a year or two between your children the likelihood is that you’ll still have most of what you need in the way of clothes and transport equipment, but if you’ve given most of that stuff away already you’ll have to furnish yourself with the necessaries all over again.

Baby stuff may even have moved on a little bit since you had your last child. Technological advancements are constantly filtering down from the science industries and finding their way into our everyday items – for kids this means extra protection, extra care and extra comfort! Britax baby travel systems are a perfect example of this; they’re stylish, smart and will offer your child complete stability.
Preparing for Your Friend’s New Baby
If you’ve already had one child or more you’ll be an excellent asset to any of your friends who are preparing for their first child. It’s not uncommon for new mums to panic and overbuy, or not realise they need to buy something they will later come to rely on. But, having been through it once before, you’ll know what they’ll need much better than they do and if you still have your baby things you’ll be able to pass them over knowing they’ll be very much appreciated!
One of the best ways for you to help your friend get everything she needs before the birth of her new baby is by throwing her a baby shower. Organising a shower for a friend is a wonderfully enjoyable way of spending quality time together before the baby arrives, as well as a chance for the mum-to-be to get advice and help from other mums before her baby arrives.
Baby Shower Gifts and Cards
Baby showers are an excellent way for new mums to get everything they need before the birth of their baby, and a great way for mums whose little ones are growing up to offload some of the stuff they don’t need anymore! It’s also an excuse to give each other thoughtful gifts, such as these adorable baby cards from Little One Prints. Your baby stuff may be second hand but personalised greetings cards are a wonderfully unique way to offer a friend your heartfelt congratulations.

My boys are 4.5 years apart. I had gotten rid of most of the big things, so I had to repurchase them. It wasn’t very fun to have to spend all that money a SECOND time.
