Neighborhood Toy Store Day is November 10th #toystoreday

This Saturday is Neighborhood Toy Store Day and I’d like to encourage you to get out and visit your neighborhood toy store. Small, independently owned toy stores often carry toys that you can’t find at your local superstore. The toys you’ll find at your local toy store are often educational in nature while also being fun for your kids. They are more often than not, made in the USA which is also something to appreciate.

We received a selection of toys that you would find at your neighborhood toy store. My sons have been enjoying the toys. We got a small building set, a large spaceship building set from Playmobil and a fun and educational game called Mine Shift.

My younger son just loves the set from Playmobil!

My older son really likes the Mine Shift game and we have incorporated it into our family game night line-up.

If you will be shopping for children this holiday season, why not visit your neighborhood toy store to see what they have to offer? I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by what you find and I know the kids will appreciate the toys you purchase there.

You can learn more about the benefits of shopping your neighborhood toy store online at www.yourneighborhoodtoystore.org. You can also find them on Facebook and on Twitter as @TheWooHooFactor.

Disclosure: I received toys in exchange for posting. This post was facilitated by Child’s Play Communications. Opinions are my own.
