We did a lot of research as well before going. We went to vegas.com lasvegas.com? One of the two.....anyways they listed out all of the casinos and most have free things to do. Then of course most have things you pay to do as well. Some cheaper than others! We made a list of everything that each casino had to offer and started there. The Freemont Street Experience was great. Something to really see! Another thing that we greatly appreciated was they have a double decker bus system that runs up and down the strip and you buy a daily ticket for really cheap. We went in May so it was EXTREMELY HOT so this was a blessing! Another great thing we found is there is a ticket store (as in they sell tickets for shows) that each morning you can go when they open and the shows that still have tickets available for that night will be discounted....some up to 50%. I know there was one close to Treasure Island past the walking bridge that goes over the street. Someone at your hotel should be able to tell you were to find them though. I think there is a couple of locations. The only complaint I had about the city is that there will be many people on the streets with flyers for call girls, etc and they will try to stick them in your face. We just had to keep on moving.
