Las Vegas Hotels

November 4th, 2009 by Andrea

As many of you know,  I recently won a trip to Las Vegas in a blog contest. I thought it would be interesting to find out more information about the hotels there. I am going to be staying at Planet Hollywood so I also want to find out more about it. Since I have never been to Vegas, I looked at Oyster Hotel Reviews because they have an extensive list of hotel reviews for most major cities including Las Vegas.

The Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino has over 2400 rooms which were renovated in late 2008. It seems to be a hoppin hotel for nightlife so I am glad that we are going to Vegas without the kids. There are plenty of fun party hotels in Vegas like the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and the Palms Casino Resort.

When vacationing one of the main things I look forward to is the variety of foods to eat. There is an abundance of restaurants in Las Vegas including 20 restaurants at Planet Hollywood alone! If I want to go to a buffet, the best buffet is rumored to be found at the Bellagio. If I wanted to dine at restaurants with celebrity chefs, I would check out Wynn Las Vegas since it has 9 celebrity chef restaurants.

If you are going to be travelling to a major city in the future I would recommend reading hotel reviews before making your travel arrangements.

This is a Traveling Mom dedicated post.

We have been to Vegas and I love it! We did a lot of research as well before going. We went to vegas.com lasvegas.com? One of the two…..anyways they listed out all of the casinos and most have free things to do. Then of course most have things you pay to do as well. Some cheaper than others! We made a list of everything that each casino had to offer and started there. The Freemont Street Experience was great. Something to really see! Another thing that we greatly appreciated was they have a double decker bus system that runs up and down the strip and you buy a daily ticket for really cheap. We went in May so it was EXTREMELY HOT so this was a blessing! Another great thing we found is there is a ticket store (as in they sell tickets for shows) that each morning you can go when they open and the shows that still have tickets available for that night will be discounted….some up to 50%. I know there was one close to Treasure Island past the walking bridge that goes over the street. Someone at your hotel should be able to tell you were to find them though. I think there is a couple of locations. The only complaint I had about the city is that there will be many people on the streets with flyers for call girls, etc and they will try to stick them in your face. We just had to keep on moving. Hope you have a great time!
