Holiday Baking with COOL WHIP Frosting {Giveaway!}

This is my favorite time of year to do a lot of baking. It’s cold outside and the oven makes my house warm and homey. And I also love feeding my family goodies – in moderation of course! My boys got out of school for winter break on Wednesday so I decided to make a cake to celebrate. I made a butter cake and put the new COOL WHIP Frosting on top. Have you heard of this new frosting? I am excited that I got to try it. Let me tell you more about it so you can decide for yourself if you’d like to try it.

You could also WIN a gift pack from COOL WHIP Frosting!

COOL WHIP Frosting is available in three flavors – vanilla, chocolate and cream cheese. For the purposes of this post I used the chocolate frosting. You can find COOL WHIP Frosting in the freezer section next to the other COOL WHIP products. In our store it was $2.98 per container.

When you’re ready to use the COOL WHIP Frosting it’s easy to de-thaw. Either one hour on the counter or four hours in the refrigerator and it’s ready to use. I set the frosting out when I pre-heated my oven and made my cake. By the time the cake cooled, the frosting was a good consistency. I found the COOL WHIP Frosting to be easy to spread on the cake.

COOL WHIP Frosting is a lot like the whipped frosting you get on commercially made cakes that you would buy from a bakery. I am a big fan of buttercream frosting but the COOL WHIP Frosting has a great flavor. It’s not as rich as buttercream but it is easier to work with in my opinion. It’s light and airy and would also be a great add-in for a fruit dip (especially the cream cheese!) My family didn’t enjoy the COOL WHIP Frosting as much as I did, but I still would recommend it because I think it’s really good.

Visit COOL WHIP on Facebook to learn more about this delicious new frosting.
