CLOSED Happy Goats Soap {giveaway}

My husband and oldest son have sensitive skin. I recently switched to goat’s milk soap and have noticed a huge difference in their skin. I have been on the lookout for a good place to get goat’s milk soap and I have found just the place! I want to introduce you to a wonderful Etsy shop called Happy Goats Soap. Patty is the woman behind these delightful bars of goat’s milk soap. Patty gets her goat’s milk from the goat’s on her farm in rural Montana. Here is more about Happy Goats Soap in Patty’s own words.

Tell me about yourself.

I am a city girl who now finds herself on a small goat farm in rural Montana. My husband retired after I had some health problems and had to leave work. We sold everything off in New Jersey where we used to live and packed up into a fifthwheel trailer and set off to see the country. We fell in love with Western Montana and decided to settle down. We now have 8 goats, 15 chickens and a large garden. I make soap and cheese with goat’s milk and artisan gemstone jewelry in my “spare” time.

Where do you call home?

A very small town in Montana called Superior. It is beautiful; it’s in the Lolo National Forest and I live on the Clark Fork River.

What made you decide to start selling on Etsy?

I learned about it from an online contact as a way to sell my gemstone jewelry. Living in a rural area it is hard to find markets for hand crafted items. Etsy provided me with an easy way to sell my creations. I added Pricilla’s shop later.

What inspires you?

I just have to look out my window and see the river and the mountains. It is so beautiful here. In making my soaps I am often inspired by some of the recipes I cook for dinner. They lead me to some new scents like my Lemongrass Rosemary.

What are your favorite things about selling handmade?

Knowing that I can make each item, whether it be a bar of soap or a pair of earrings to be the best that I can. Making them individual when I package and hopefully making the transaction fun and personal for my customers.

What is your favorite item you make?

I love my A Pet for the Goat’s Soap. My husband laughed at me when I bought the mold but who wouldn’t love a guinea pig soap?

Do you have a favorite Etsy shop?

Oh, there are so many. I have bought quite a few things. I am quite enamoured of the art from www.BudanArt.etsy.com and I have gotten several gifts and papier mache items from www.Humblebea.etsy.com . Vicki at www.vickiorion.etsy.com makes gorgeous jewelry.
