If you’re looking to purchase new pair of glasses but you don’t feel like shopping around and trying many different pairs out for yourself, The Eye Browser app is exactly what you need. Whether you’re in the market for sunglasses or prescription eyewear, this app will help you find the style that’s just right for you. I just found out about this app and went to the iPhone App store right away to check it out. I am so excited too because they will have a Droid version out soon as well.
When I went to first open the app, I was greeted with a colorful menu. From this point on I was able to browse sunglasses and eyeglasses, as well as view the featured styles for both. By using the “My Wardrobe” feature I was able to keep track of and store my favorite glasses. The most beneficial element of the app is the comprehensive search function which allows you to narrow down specific styles based on options such as color, age group, lifestyle, and size, etc. It also has a face shape analyzer which you can really have fun with, especially if you play around with it a bit with family and friends.
The real fun began when I finally reached the “Try on Frame” page; this is where the magic happens! I then choose to upload a picture of myself, although you can also use a model picture provided, and began virtually trying all of my favorite glasses on. I found it to be extremely simple to resize and reposition glasses so they fit my picture perfectly.
If you happen to fall in love with a style that fits you just perfectly you can save the pair to “My Wardrobe” and The Eye Browser will search where the specific style is sold in your area. Not all glasses or sunglasses are sold at every Opticial or Frame store so this is extremely helpful once you find the style that you love! Now I know for sure that I will never struggle with search for glasses (or be put on the spot at the optician’s) again now that I have downloaded the FREE Eye Browser App.
