Baby Lists Book Review

February 13th, 2008 by Andrea

As an expectant mother I was anxious about what I need to have to be prepared for the arrival of my baby. I knew about some of the basics, but there is so much that was needed that I didn’t even think of. I wish I would have had this book, Baby Lists: What to Do and What to Get to Prepare for Baby by Elaine Farber. This book has three great parts with many lists and questionnaires in each.

  • Part 1- Becoming Baby Ready Lists
  • Part 2- Necessities and Nice Things to Have Lists
  • Part 3- Books, Videos, DVDs and Music

Each part is broken down into several chapters covering everything from choosing a hospital to bath-time essentials to your parenting library. This book also has checklists and places to take notes which are my favorite parts of the book. Baby Lists is the perfect size to stick in your purse and take with you so you will have it when you go to the Dr. for birth planning or when you go shopping to plan babies nursery. In the back of the book there is a section with websites listed for online shopping for baby and also a handy index.

This book is well written, thorough and easy to read. I would recommend it to any expectant mother. I am excited to have it to use when my third baby comes along because I am sure I will forget something!
